Managed Recovery Operations

Four thousand dollars per month. The unsold side of the book, owned, after the process is stable.

What ongoing managed recovery operations means

Kopikat Research is responsible for the recovery process after launch, rather than a manager absorbing it into an already full week. It is not a software subscription.

Performance standards are agreed before the process starts. Kopikat Research is based in Chicago and works with HVAC companies in Arizona.

What the month covers

Monitoring

Every new unresolved estimate gets a reason and an owner. The queue stays ranked instead of drifting into a list nobody reads.

Follow-up

The agreed follow-up process operated day to day, including human handling of exceptions the workflow cannot decide.

Adjustments

Rules that do not survive contact with the real book get changed rather than defended.

Handoffs

Handoffs, data quality, and ownership checked against the record so work does not fall between two people.

Reporting

A monthly written report. Recovered work is attributed as Kopikat initiated, Kopikat assisted, inbound with no Kopikat involvement, or unclear, and recovered gross profit is set against what it cost to recover.

Why operations follows the diagnostic and the build

Operating a process requires a process to operate. Only after the build is stable is there something whose performance can be held to a standard.

The arithmetic, in plain language

Recovered jobs × average ticket × gross margin, minus the monthly fee and other variable costs. The remainder is incremental contribution profit.

Recovered revenue is the whole ticket, most of which is equipment, labor, and other direct job costs. No number of recovered jobs and no return is guaranteed.

Scope of responsibility

Responsible for

Running the process daily, ownership and handoffs, queue priority, exceptions, honest measurement, and reporting attribution and gross profit.

Not responsible for

Selling, pricing, install capacity, or a revenue outcome. The client keeps its systems, contact rules, and approvals. Extra branches, systems, business lines, and large integrations are quoted separately.

Paid engagements run under written terms. A sample engagement agreement is published as a working draft so a shop can see the shape of the terms in advance. It is not binding and not ready for signature. Record handling is covered by confidentiality and privacy. Use of this site is governed by the terms of use.
